Charity Gigs

Four weeks before Melinda’s first professional gig her eldest sister Sharon was diagnosed with Terminal Breast Cancer. In December 2000 Sharon left her bed for the last time to see Melinda perform.On Boxing Day 2000 Sharon died
at the age of 42.

Since this tragic event, Melinda has raised over £7000 for Cancer Charities by freely giving her time to sing at many events and walking 27 miles in 6 hours in the Playtex Moonwalk.

The training for this event saw her walk over 350 miles with her sister Michele and her friend Louise from Fit Dog. In addition, Melinda has also undertaken Race for Life on 3 consecutive years.
